Finalist!

Today the nominees for Boat of the Year 2013 was official and we are happy to see the Delta 54 IPS as one of five contenders in the class for Sportscruisers above 45 feet.

The winner will be presented at the Savoy in connection with the London Boat Show in January.

D80 Hull testing

Last month we launched the first hull for the D80 IPS so we could try it out before winter arrived. It was tested with a D29 on the deck, same as when we tested the D54 three years ago. This time we were driving with light load first day and heavy the day after. Twelve more tonnes just costed one knot in speed and she performed excellent, so we are happy!

X130/ 40 m

This new design is a little unusual in that it has the engines and all other technical equipment in compartments below the living areas. This way the cabins can use the entire length of the hull, with a foldable beach at the stern.

The deck salon is arranged like a beach house, with floor to ceiling windows. Forward the side decks forms a portuguese bridge and in front of this a tender can be fitted in a garage under the sunbeds. Additional toys can be lifted up on the aft part of the sundeck.

The hull is a semi-displacement and propulsion can be with azipods or shafts. Perhaps with a hybrid solution...

One of my latest designs is this 64-footer with twin IPS/1200. A modern classic that could also be powered for low to medium speeds.

D33 Runabout

For a Superyacht Tender, onboard or towed, it is beneficial with waterjets. But our stepped hulls can not have them, why I have looked into another kind of hull that can have most drive systems.

Now the D80 IPS is in the build and the design is official from tomorrow when the new Delta Powerboats website is launched.

D54 White

Last summer we delivered three D54:s, one was the grey, the next was anthracite and the third was white. The next two are also white and this is what the first D80 will be.
